Haarversorging

  • Haarmiddels op die mark is gewoon onnatuurlike chemiese produkte.
  • Hedendaagse middels soos jels, mousse en sproei se chemiese karakter is van so aard dat dit heg en bind met die haar self, om ‘n bepaalde onnatuurlike funksie te vervul wat vele kere vals is.
  • Haarprodukte is bedoel om te klou en nie net sommer af te was nie.

Beredeneer mens die saak, is dit ‘n logiese afleiding dat haarmiddels chemies saamgestel is en ‘n onnatuurlike invloed het op die mikrobiese lewe van die kopvel.

Natural-Hair-Types2

Die “goeie bakterie” of habitat op die kopvel, het geen natuurlike weerstand teen sterker ontwrigtende chemiese middels wat natuurlike werkinge oorneem en of elimineer nie. By versteuring van die natuurlike pH op die kopvel, skep dit ideale omstandighede vir organismes soos gis, bakterie en virusse om hulself te vestig.

Hierdie faktore dra by tot aktiewe haarveroudering en die versteuring van die haarwortel en groeipunte self.

  • Wanneer die pH versteur word met alkaliese toestande, open die kutikel op die haar (die beskerming of skubbe van die haar) en versamel dan produk onder die skubbe en op die korteks van die haar. Dit kan lei tot die opbou van haarprodukte op die hare self.  

Skilfers

Kutikels, wat weens chemiese versteuring van sjampoe oopmaak, (alkaliese omstandighede), se beskermingsvermoë om die haar se belangrike korteks te beskerm, word daarmee verminder.

Die gevolg hiervan is dat hare vatbaar kan word vir die versameling van elemente soos gis, skadelike bakterie en of virusse wat graag daar wil vestig. Skilfers is fungi, of gis, wat in ‘n versteurde pH van die kopvel die ideale habitat vind om hulself te vestig. Gis vestig hulself ook in die olierige gedeeltes van die kopvel waar sebum oormatig afgeskei word.

Skilfers beteken in eenvoud dat daar gistende toestande op die kopvel ontwikkel het.

Dit is toestande wat ‘n ideale alkaliese habitat lewer en dan ook kronies ontaard. Gis het dus die oorhand gekry het teen die natuurlike beskermingsmeganismes (natuurlike suuromgewing) van die kopvel en, in die proses, die natuurlike biologiese herstel van die kopvel elimineer het.

Skilfers veroorsaak dat hare vele kere meer gewas word om die skilfertoestand onder beheer te bring, wat op hul beurt tot meer sebumstimulasie lei, wat olierige hare tot gevolg het.

Haarverliese kan ook skildklier en ander biologiese oorsake hê. Chemo by kankerbehandeling kan ook haarverliese veroorsaak.

Waaruit bestaan die kopvel.

Die dun kopvel is baie meer kompleks as wat meeste mense dink. Die buitenste gedeelte van kopvel, alhoewel bedek met hare, is deel van die epidermis (buitenste gedeelte van die vel) in die liggaam.

Epidermis-delimited

Die epidermis beskerm die dermis teen die blootstelling van eksterne elemente, soos ultravioletstraling, eksterne stowwe en chemiese elemente soos wat in haarprodukte voorkom.

Die epidermis

  • Bestaan uit epiteelselle asook melanosiete, wat die kleur van die vel verskaf.
  • Die epidermis bestaan verder ook uit keratien, Merkel se selle en Langerhans se selle.
  • Die diepere lae van die epidermis bevat ook belangrike senu-eindpunte.
  • Die epidermis bevat ook ‘n belangrike proteïen naamlik keratien.

Keratien

  • Is ‘n proteïen en belangrike komponent van die epidermis.
  • Keratien het ‘n “waterdigtingseffek” wat as beskerming van die liggaam dien.
  • Die enigste plek waar keratien op die vel in die lyf voorkom nie, is by die slymvliese in die mond, en oë.
  • Keratien verhard ook op die epidermis om ook naels te vorm.

Die belangrikste funksies van die epidermis van die kopvel

  • Is die beskerming wat dit verleen
  • Die absorbering van nutriënte en
  • Die handhawing van balanse (homeostase) op die kopvel.

Haarprodukte kan dus die beskermingfunksies van keratien beskadig of omseil.

Sommige chemiese elemente kan ook deur die vel opgeneem word. Dit kan die balanse of homeostase van die kopvel versteur en, wanneer versteur, of beskadig, sal haarwortels wat gesonde hare moet ondersteun, onvoldoende nutriënte opneem.

Onder aan die epidermis, is die dermislaag wat die epidermis beskerm. Dit bestaan op sy beurt uit twee lae.

  • Die papillêre (papillary) laag.
  • En retikulêre (recticular) laag, wat onder andere senings, bloedvate, sebumkliere, follikels, haarwortels, sensoriese senupunte en spierweefsel bevat.

Kollageen

Groot hoeveelhede kollageen met elastien anker die dermis aan die hipodermis. ‘n Tekort aan elastisiteit en of die vernietiging daarvan, veroorsaak velverdunning, swak beweging en of fleksie van die kopvel.

Haarprodukte

Soos genoem, mooi en gesonde goedversorgde hare is ‘n groot deel van vele mense se selfbeeld en publieke persona.

Dooie selle.

Soos met die res van die vel (epidermis) op die menslike liggaam, is daar gedurig selle wat hul leeftyd bereik het en afsterf nadat hul doel voltooi is.  Dooie selle moet doelbewus van die kopvel verwyder word om jong selle en haarwortels die nodige ondersteuning te gee, om gesonde haargroei te bevorder.

Wat gebeur by die was van hare

Elke keer wanneer hare gewas word, word dit gewas met sjampoes beskikbaar in die algemene handel. Dit is gewoonlik produkte wat ‘n pH het van hoër as 7 (sewe) het.

Met alkaliese toestande by hare, lig die kutikel op en weg van die korteks. Om die hare skoon te kry, bind of emulsifiseer die sjampoe met die elemente wat op die hare gevind word. Hare swel effe en die kutikels dwing hulself ook oop weens die alkaliese omstandighede waarin hul hulself nou bevind.

Die proses stel die korteks bloot. In die wasproses vind daar ook natuurlike oksidasie plaas van hare, wat die natuurlikheid van hare beïnvloed. Elke wasproses stel die haar ook bloot aan breekskade, haarkoeke en ‘n toestand waar hare “frizzy” kan word.

Hare verloor ook in die wasproses hul natuurlike glans, omdat hul dan lig absorbeer in stede daarvan om lig te projekteer.

Die toestand van hare (en die kopvel) kan ook deur faktore soos stres, verkeerde diëte en sweet skadelik beïnvloed word.

Pierre@ Ecohealth het met die samestelling van sy sjampoe, ‘n kondisioneerder ontwikkel wat by die sjampoe se doel en funksies inpas.

  • Bentoniet het ‘n negatiewe lading, (anionies), wat molekulêr natuurlik bind aan positief gelaaide molekulêre ladings, (katatonies) wat in meeste gevalle skadelike vrye radikale is wat weens die gebruik van haarprodukte opbou op die hare self.
  • Bentoniet bind dus aan die haarprodukte se opbou. Wanneer die hare daarna gewas word, was dit produkopbou af en dit detoks sommer die hare self in die proses.
  • Die ioniese eienskappe van bentoniet dreineer/absorbeer/bind ook aan al die toksiese stowwe op die hare asook die kopvel, wat sebum, onsuiwerhede, toksiese neerslae swaarmetale insluit, wat met die wasproses afgewas word.
  • Bentoniet is ook antibakteries en het vele antimikrobiese eienskappe. Dit bind ook hieraan wat ook in die wasproses weggeneem word.

  • Geaktiveerde houtskool is ‘n kragtige magneet wat alle onsuiwerhede en produkopbou van hare kan neutraliseer en verwyder.
  • Geaktiveerde houtskool kan tot meer as 1000 maal sy gewig absorbeer in onsuiwerhede.

Metabolisasie van curcumin

Die metabolisasie van curcumin kan gedefinieer word as die tempo waar curcumin se terapeutiese waardes en aktiewe elemente voldoende vrygestel word deur die spysverteringstelsel om spesifieke molekulêre teikens, soos kankerselle of tumors in die liggaam, te teiken.

Medikasie, natuurlike voeding en nutriënte in minerale en vitamienes ondergaan almal verskeie metaboliese prosesse in die ingewande met verskeie absorpsie-profiele.

Modulasie vermoëns van die P-glukoproteïen

P-glukoproteïen is deel van die superfamilie, die ATP-verbindingsgroep van transporteerders, wat deel is van die “multi-drug” weerstandigheidsgeen, MDRI (ABCB1) wat in mense voorkom.

  • P-gp het dus in sy aard en funksie die vermoë om die absorpsie van medikasie en voeding te blokkeer en te verhoed.

Die P-gp funksie in die spysverteringskanaal voorkom dus dat medikasie en nutriënte wat die behandeling van kanker en artritis, kan aanspreek, aktief blokkeer word.

Die P-gp funksies moet dus gemoduleer word sodat die aktief van medikasie en nutriënte genoegsaam vrygestel kan word om molekulêre teikens van byvoorbeeld kanker te kan bereik.

Piperine, bewys die Literatuur inhibeer P-glukoproteïen se blokkeringsvermoë en sellulêre uitdrukking en funksie,  sodat curcumin se terapeutiese waardes in die spysverteringstelsel opgeneem kan word.

  1. Modulering van metaboliese ensieme

Die modulering van metaboliese ensieme en nutriënte is nodig om die metabolisasie van medikasie en nutriënte te laat plaasvind. Metabolisasie kan binne of buite die liggaam plaasvind.

Metabolisasie is die proses waar medikasie en voeding nutriënte biotransformeer, en sekere elemente van medikasie en voeding chemies biotransformeer om meer bio-opneembaar te wees vir die liggaam.

Die produk wat hier beskrywe word, is Curcumin. Die aktief in borrie. Met hul bio-opneembare uitdagings en voordele.

Inleiding

Die effektiwiteit, die veilige farmakologiese waarde van curcuminoïede noop mens om die potensiaal te kyk van curcumin as hulpmiddel teen kanker, as anti-oksidant en die ander waardes wat dit as natuurlike plant en middel mag hê teen verskeie siektes.

Die gebruik van borrie, (curcumin is die aktiewe bestanddeel in borrie) word al eeue lank gebruik in die Ayurveda gebruike. In die moderne era is daar vele belangrike studies in die Literatuur wat fokus op die aktief in borrie, naamlik “Curcumin” gedoen.

Curcumin se oorsprong

Borrie word gemaak van die wortel (risome) van die Curcuma Longa plant. Van die totale worteloes word sowat 2-5% curcumin geoes. Borrie se bekende geel kleur word vir vele ander gebruike in voedsel en klerebedryf gebruik, maar word in die medisyne as “curcuminoïede” beskrywe.

Dit is reeds in 1842 geïsoleer deur ‘n navorser met die naam van Vogel.

Opneembaarheid van borrie.

Borrie en curcumin se nadeel is dat die “vet” of “oliewaardes” van die molekule prakties onoplosbaar is in water. Die molekulêre of chemiese struktuur van curcumin is C21H20O6. Curcumin in die Chemie staan ook bekend as “Diferuloylmethane.”

Research/Efficacy on CHD-FA™

The medicinal uses of humic substances and fulvic acid have been known for many years. Medicinal products containing humic and fulvic acids with therapeutic indications for inflammation, bacterial infections, allergies, arthritis, rheumatism and various other conditions are freely available. CHD-FA™ is free of heavy metals and environmental pollutants and safe for pharmaceutical interventions. CHD-FA™ has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antioxidant properties.

It has a supramolecular structure that is characterised by twenty-four principal backbone structures embedded in CHD-FA™. The backbone structures are associated with each other and with the parent structure through intermolecular bonding to form a supramolecular structure. It is all these backbone structures (consistent from batch to batch) that give CHD-FA™ its wide range of efficacy. Three examples of these 24 backbone structures, each with their own medicinal properties, are:

  • Malic acid: Anti-inflammatory; antibacterial; antifungal; antiviral; antioxidant.
  • Tartaric acid: Anti-inflammatory; antibacterial.

Specific research completed on CHD-FA™

Over R50 million has been spent on research work specifically on CHD-FA™. The purpose of this was to not solely rely on anecdotal data and general information but to ensure whatever efficacy is claimed in regards to CHD-FA™, there is data to support it. The studies mentioned below under each condition are just some of the studies completed on CHD-FA™ -there are many more.   • Anti-inflammatory

 Many conditions in the human body are caused by inflammation. CHD-FA™ with its known anti-inflammatory properties will assist with these conditions. The following studies have been successfully completed:

  • CHD-FA™ inhibits Carrageen-induced inflammation and enhances wound healing. This peer-reviewed, published study conducted at the University of Pretoria indicated that CHD-FA™ has its anti-inflammatory effect by neutralising free radicals. The rate of reduction in the inflammation as a result of ingesting CHD-FA™ is equivalent to that of Indomethacin, a registered anti-inflammatory often used.
  • Phase 1 clinical study of the acute and sub-acute safety and proof of concept efficacy in humans. This peer-reviewed, published study also proved that CHD-FA™ acts as an anti-inflammatory.
  • Inflammatory efficacy of CHD-FA™ in an in vitro whole blood assay (human). The conclusion of this study done at Washington Biotechnology was that CHD-FA™ is a potent anti-inflammatory agent comparable to Dexamethasone.
  • In a randomized, parallel-group, double-blind, controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of CHD-FA™ in the topical treatment of eczema, which has been peer-reviewed and published, it was found that CHD-FA™ in a cream formulation successfully improved eczema.

 Antibacterial

Bacterial and microbial infections, both systemic as well as topical, are a major health issue worldwide. Furthermore, antibiotic overuse, as well as not completing prescribed courses of antibiotics, has created a generation of resistant bacteria that, once they have invaded our bodies makes treatment very difficult. Studies at various institutions around the globe found that CHD-FA™ was successful in not only killing a wide variety of organisms, but also has the following effects:

  • Works synergistically with other medicines.
  • Is effective against a wide variety of resistant bacteria.

Antibacterial studies on CHD-FA™, including peer-reviewed and published articles:

  • CHD-FA™ is a highly-promising topical agent to enhance healing of wounds infected with drug-resistant pathogens. This peer-reviewed and published work was done at the Public Health Research Institute, Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. The study proved that CHD-FA™ is effective against the ‘super-bug’, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, a powerful microbe that has become of major concern worldwide.
  • Biological properties of CHD-FA™ as a potential novel therapy for the management of oral biofilm infections. This study conducted at the world-famous Glasgow Dental School, School of Medicines, was peer-reviewed and published, and concluded that CHD-FA™ exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against orally-relevant biofilm organisms.
  • Synergistic effect of CHD-FA™. The results of this study conducted at the University of Pretoria showed that CHD-FA™ has antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans. The antimicrobial spectrum of CHD-FA™ compares favourably with that of currently-prescribed antibiotics and acts synergistically with oxacillin (methicillin) and gentamicin. A Gram stain of albicans grown in the presence of CHD-FA™ showed rounded, enlarged, non-dividing bodies indicating that this product acts on the cell wall of microorganisms.
  • Assessment of the in vitro efficacy of CHD-FA ± Oxacillin following several passages in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (EMRSA16). This study at Euprotec in the UK indicated that there is no resistance build-up by CHD-FA™.
  • Determination of the in vitro efficacy of CHD-FA™ against multidrug-resistant Enterobacteriaceae and Mycobacteria. The study concluded:
    • CHD-FA™ was effective against NDM-1, KPC and ESBL positive Klebsiella pneumonia and multi-resistant coli strains with a 100% MIC value of 0.06-0.12%.
    • CHD-FA™ was highly effective against multi-resistant Gram negative bacilli including NDM-1 positive strains. CHD-FA was also highly effective against Mycobacterium smegmatis. All organisms were inhibited using ≤0.12% of CHD-FA™.
  • Antiviral

Viruses are microscopic organisms that replicate within the cells of animals, plants and humans and subsequently cause disease. Such diseases can range from the common cold and influenza to Epstein Barr’s disease, herpes and hepatitis, to name but a few.

An in vitro study performed at the University of Pretoria showed CHD-FA™ to be fast and effective in managing feline herpes.

In vitro work was also done at Virologic in the USA against HIV strains, showing efficacy.

  • Antifungal

 Not all fungi are beneficial. Some are toxic and often cause diseases that can be both uncomfortable and dangerous. Examples include: aspergillus (can cause cancer); zygomycetes (can cause serious external skin infections and internal infections along the gastrointestinal tract); and Candida, of which there are many species with the most common one causing vaginal infections. As with many strains of bacteria, many Candida species are resistant to drugs.

A wide range of studies were performed on CHD-FA™ as an anti-fungal agent:

  • Studies carried out at Fungiscope in Germany showed that resistant Candida strains tested were inhibited by CHD-FA™.
  • Assessment of the in vivo efficacy of CHD-FA™ in a murine model of disseminated Candidiasis. This study done at Euprotec in the UK proved that CHD-FA™ is effective in vivo against Candida albicans on its own or in combination with other medicines such as Fluconazole.
  • Assessment of the in vitro efficacy of CHD-FA™ against malassezia and dermatophyte This study done at Euprotec in the UK proved that CHD-FA™:
    • inhibits the growth of Malassezia dermatis, Malassezia furfur and Malassezia globosa when used as a 0.125% solution at its native pH of 2.1 in vitro.
    • inhibits the growth of all dermatophyte strains tested, except Microsporum canis, when used as a 0.2-0.4% solution.
  • Immune Support

Because of its anti-oxidant as well as chelating and other properties such as enhanced nutritional uptake as discussed, CHD-FA™ is effective in supporting a stronger immune system.

  • Anti-Diabetic

Diabetes is a disease affecting millions of people. Because of the various healing properties of CHD-FA™, an in vivo study was conducted at the Medical Research Institute and the outcome was:

The solutions tested significantly enhanced glucose uptake both in the C2C12 muscle and Chang liver cells. The increase in the glucose uptake was comparable to that of metformin, an established anti-diabetic agent.

  • Antioxidant

The antioxidant properties are well-documented in general literature such as the article in the Journal of Food, Agriculture & Environment Vol. 9 (3&4): 123 – 127 (2011). Additional testing has also been done on CHD-FA™ confirming its excellent anti-oxidant properties.

The summary of work done at University of Pretoria concluded: “it has been shown that CHD-FA™ possesses some antioxidant properties in vitro.  This property suggests that this product may be an effective immunomodulator for the treatment of diseases associated with an overproduction of reactive oxidants by human phagocytes.”

  •  Nutritional Uptake

CHD-FA™ assist in nutritional uptake as has been proven by a study at the University of Pretoria. From the study it is clear that CHD-FA™ will assist in the nutritional uptake of various minerals.

  •  Preservative

Because of the antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal properties of CHD-FA™, it essentially acts as its own preservative in the various products. The preservative efficacy report by SWIFT SILLIKER confirms the preservative properties of CHD-FA™.
